When?

The BOFs will take place at around 5pm on Thursday. Location to be announced.

What?

BOFs are a chance for groups of like minded people to get together to discuss or do something in particular. If you want to arrange a BOF, simply add it to this list:

GPG Key Signing Session

You will need to bring:

  • government issued photo ID (passport/drivers license/etc)
  • printouts (or written out) GPG fingerprints. At a *nix commannd line, type gpg —-fingerprint your@email.address. The minimal information you need to print out might look like this:
ben@benbalbo.com
pub 1024D/D26F2259 2004-11-30
      Key fingerprint = 3840 E96A 6E03 D0E4 C211 7113 FA2D CBB0 D26F 2259

CACert assurance

You will need to bring along:

  • a handful of these forms - five should suffice
  • at least one form of government issued photo identification. It's preferable if 2 forms of Government issued photo ID are presented, as less points may be issued if there is any doubt on the person by the person issuing points.

OpenSource tools for DTV

Chance to chat about the options in the Open Source space for recording, playing and editing Digital TV. This will be an open session so bring along your favorite tools, or hardware to do a demo.

See Tuscan Room

Agile BOF

Talk about XP, Agile, Scrum, Lean - whatever you like. Like minded Agilists come together and share your experiences. People that's aren't agile, and want to be - please come too. (Convener - Steve Dalton)

Note: This already happened on Wednesday… not a Thursday BOF.

Werewolf

Come along to meet new people, then lynch them. Werewolf is a game common at BarCamps and Rails Camps, which encourages suspicion towards your fellow developers ;)

Look for the man with the blond hair and red beard - that's Pat, he's the sucker encouraging this session.

Twisted

Chat about Twisted, the Python networking framework. Thursday, 5pm, Red Oak Boutique Beer Cafe, 201 Clarence St.
